Shooting Star
Shooting Star is a short film I produced in early 2024 with two CLU students. For this project, I was the primary editor as well as producer. During production, we experienced technical issues which made a portion of the footage unrecoverable. Despite this, we used what we had to make a coherent product. This experience, having to edit without all of the planned scenes, was very valuable in broadening my editing skills
Synopsis: At a theatre afterparty, Max, an aspiring young actor, is stressed by the atmosphere. Escaping outside, he meets Kate, an actress who just got dumped. The two hit it off as fast friends, and Max quickly develops a crush on her as they gossip away from the noise of the party. Soon, they begin to learn more about each other as they share their life-stories. As the two take a break for some fresh air, Kate spots a shooting star! Will Max take this as a sign to confess, or will he let this opportunity slip by?
